REACTOKEY ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website reactokey.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using REACTOKEY, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account information — email address and username when you create an account.
  • Game data — typing speed (WPM), accuracy, reaction time, and session history.
  • Usage data — pages visited, time spent, and interactions, collected via Google Analytics.
  • Device data — browser type, operating system, and IP address.
  • Preferences — theme and audio settings stored locally in your browser.
  • AI Coach (cap-i) typing data — when you take the AI Coach benchmark or play a coach round, the timing and correctness of each keystroke typed into the game during that run. We store a statistical summary (per-key accuracy and speed, common mistakes, speed over the run), not the keystrokes themselves. A benchmark taken before you log in waits for you to log in: in your browser for up to a day, and as that summary on our servers for up to 7 days, deleted as soon as it's saved to your account.
  • Subscription information — if you subscribe to REACTOKEY Pro, payment is handled by Stripe. We never receive your card number; we store your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, your plan and its status.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate and maintain your account and game progress.
  • To display your scores on the public leaderboard (username only).
  • To analyse usage trends and improve the game experience.
  • To serve relevant advertisements via Google AdSense.
  • To respond to support requests sent via the contact form.
  • To plan your AI Coach rounds, track your progress toward your goal speed, and manage your REACTOKEY Pro subscription.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect data independently:

  • Supabase — authentication and database hosting. Your account data is stored securely on Supabase servers.
  • Google Analytics — website traffic and usage analytics.
  • Google AdSense — advertising. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your interests. Ads are not shown to REACTOKEY Pro members.
  • Stripe — payment processing for REACTOKEY Pro subscriptions.
  • Anthropic — the AI model that helps plan AI Coach rounds. We send it a summary of your typing statistics and your goal speed — never your name, email address or account details.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them directly.

5. Cookies

We use cookies for authentication sessions and analytics. Google AdSense may place additional cookies for ad personalisation. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features of REACTOKEY may not function correctly without them.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Game session data is kept to maintain leaderboard history. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Opt out of analytics tracking (via browser settings or a browser extension like uBlock Origin).
  • Opt out of personalised ads via Google's ad settings.

8. Children's Privacy

REACTOKEY is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of REACTOKEY after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
